".. In ancient Greece the word of "Arts" was technai or as we say in English today, technique. I believe that is not a coincidence but to them the issue of mastering the technical element was more or less
everything. The rest came by itself. If one was to have to worry about that, because the ability to create great art and great poetry, in visual terms, is something that one is born or is not. So, if the artist is not born with this gift by the "gods" no matter how much he tries and worries about creating "great art" it will make no difference because, he will never be able to accomplish that. On the other hand, if one is born with this 'gift" then again he does not have to worry about creating great visual statements and poetry, because it will come naturally. So the Greeks created the term "enthusiastic" to describe all of this, which is widely used today in all of western vocabularies. This ternm comes from the words en theos and it means "by God". Therefore all the artist had to care about, was achieving a high technique through which his "enthusiasm" would be allowed to create the visual or other poetry..."
