Alias/circadian (The Netherlands)
The group Alias/circadian was formed in 1995. Under its lead Yannis Kyriakides, it has been
involved in creating music for many theatre and dance projects in Holland, England, Germany, and Greece.
It aims to create music that mix traditional cross-cultural musical practices with new medias opening up and
exploring radical form of listening and experiencing music.
Circadian's recent projects include "Byrd"- an evening of dance performance, collaborating with Leine and Roebana
(Amsterdam) with over 50 performances around the Netherlands and Europe.
The Galway Celts Band (Ireland)
The Galway Celts plays regularly in Galway City for Sessiuns. The band has played for musical events locally and overseas.
It also participates in festivals all over Ireland each year. Vocalists and Instrumental. Instruments include fiddle, uillean
pipes, and wooden flute.

CIRCADIAN

The group CIRCADIA was formed in 1995. Under its lead Yiannis Kyriakides, it has been involved in creating music for many theatre

with new medias opening up and exploring radical forms of listening and experiencing music.
CIRCADIA's recent project's include "Byrd"- an evening of dance performance, collaborating with Leine and Roebana (Amsterdam) with over 50
performances around the Netherlands and Europe.
"SPI" is a forthcoming project to be held in the Korzo Theatre-Den Haag initiated by CIRCADIA and involving four musicians, a dancer, and a film
maker. "SPI" is an electronic cantatinspired by the incorporeal world of clandestine shortwave number station. Using music-video and movement the
piece explores the area of discreet communication signals. Language is stripped down to a basic core and its various mediums of expression are used to
examine the amiguity and subtlety of human interaction
Parranda Cuasquias
The group Cuasquias was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) in 1982. It was in that year that a group of friends from the universitiy
days decided to participate in a Spanish Television Program, and thus the group was born. "Cuasquias" is formed by professionals from several fields:
medicine, education, business and govertment offices.
The members have a deep knowledge of Canary Islands' folklore acquired through the former participation in some of the most well known Canary Islands folklore
groups, such as: "Sabandenos", "Gofiones", "Mestiay", "Granjeros", and "Coral Polifonica de Las Palmas"[ Las Palmas Poliphonic Choir].
"Cuasquias" has recorded 8 albums: four dedicated to Carnival songs, and three to the traditional Canary folklore. They are the kings of Canary Islands wonderful
Carnival where their song "Invitacion al Carnaval" ("Invitation to Carnival") composed by Sindo Saavedra, has become the Carnival Anthem, and thus, the song marks
every year the official inauguration of the Carnival.
They have performed for the Spanish and German T.V. They have been the official representation of the Canary Islands in several international meetings: FITUR (Feria
Internacional del Turismo [International Fair of Tourism]), held every year in Madrid; EXPO, 92 in Seville, Gran Gala in Wiesbaden in Germany. They have also performed
extensiveley in the Canary Islands, bringing their folklore to every single village of the islands. They are currently working on their 9 album.
